Senator raps Kennedy after defeat of earmark bill, notes political aspirations
From the Associated Press: Senator Dan “Blade” Morrish cites State Treasurer John Kennedy’s use of his bill in radio ads and mail pieces as a reason for the failure of legislation to provide disclosure on funds for non-governmental organizations. The ads, which were critcized as “thinly veiled campaign ads” for Kennedy’s US Senate campaign were followed by a no-show by Kennedy at the bill’s hearing during the House Governmental and Affairs commitee.
