Jindal uses state helicopter for fundraiser

Jet-setting Governor Bobby Jindal attended a fundraiser last night for Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser. In keeping with his commitment to a gold standard of ethics, Governor Jindal used a state owned helicopter to be transported to the event. Those wishing to investigate whether this violates state ethics laws should call the Louisiana Board of Ethics at 225-219-5600.

Your information is FALSE. Two helicopters were on site, but they transported attorneys. Governor Jindal arrived by car.

Umm... I was there, he arrived in a helicopter. You must be getting this mixed up with another fundraiser.

Gerry, lots of people were confused, I heard it all night. When the second helicopter touched down a woman said, "I guess the governor's here now." Jindal was standing behind her. He tapped her on the shoulder and said, "No mam, that's someone more important than me."

LOL at the other fundraiser comment. Pretty good.

Zach, I tried to post a response on Tuesday April 21. It has not appeared. The subject line of this story should change. Since this website demands such honesty, it does not want to appear hypocritical. In all fairness the story should remain up, with the corrected subject line and content.

Gerry, I mean to discredit you with this information as I will make a leap and say you're the source of this story. I understand it could easily be an honest mistake, because as someone who was there I too heard the comments that Jindal landed via helicopter. But I seem to know more details than you. Panther Helicopters and Southern Seaplane were the two on site at Billy Nungesser's house.
