Vitter Declares Victory over Letten

From Twitter:  Following the news that Senator Mary Landrieu will recommend to President Obama that U.S. Attorney Jim Letten remain in his job, disgraced junior Senator David Vitter tweeted “We secured a win today in Senator Landrieu supporting Jim Letten as US Attorney…” 

Senator Vitter has been a long time promoter of Jim Letten, going back to their boyhood days as sexually repressed teens at De La Salle High School. According to sources, privately citing Jim Letten’s “discretion” in choosing who to prosecute in a case involving a certain house on Canal St., Senator Vitter has felt indebted to Jim Letten for years.  Perhaps Mr. Letten will feel that the favor has since been returned, now that the junior senator has used his well known charm with women to woo Senator Landrieu into supporting Letten.
