***REDUCT BOX EXCLUSIVE ON DEAD PELICAN VS. STORMY*** Must Credit Reduct Box
A few days ago, we referenced a post our old buddy Chaz Rogers over at the Dead Pelican wrote after the launch of the DraftStormy movement, and then asked whether he would put his money where his mouse is at Politics with a Punch this weekend. Well, things get a little more interesting after the jump.
The Reduct Box has obtained an exclusive copy of the response the DraftStormy sent to Mr. Rogers that he neglected to put on his web site. Here is the response in full:
Dear Chad,
We wanted to address some issues raised in your latest blog post on “Rogers’ Rants”.
To begin with, we regret the tone of your post, starting with the title in which you refer to Stormy as a “Smut Queen”. As a leading source of news in Louisiana, we would hope that you would keep the tone civil and polite. We are running a positive, issues-oriented draft campaign and are hoping to keep the dialogue elevated. While we welcome debate, we are not interested in petty name calling and would ask you to extend the same courtesy.
As to whether our campaign is being run by “political operatives”, or the Democratic Party, we are a group of citizens from a variety of backgrounds with a desire to bring true change to Louisiana. Neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party are involved in our efforts. While we welcome Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to join our grassroots movement, no political party is organizing our efforts. Anyone who says otherwise simply does not know the facts.
We would also like to point out, that as someone who has examined your writings over a long period of time, you would do well to read some of Stormy’s work and learn from it. This would most likely drastically improve your writing and result in a more mature style while maintaining your dry wit and caustic sense of humor.
We hope we have addressed some of your concerns and look forward to communicating with you in a positive way in the future.
From the Draft Stormy Press Team
