No, this is not a joke, he’s back. Maybe. In a column for Bayou Buzz, political analyst and Republican Party of Louisiana insider Jeff Crouere speculates that State Treasurer John Kennedy might run against jet-setting Governor Bobby Jindal in 2011 if Jindal’s numbers are weak. According to an article on Politico’s gossip site Click, former Newt Gingrich aide and current Communications Director for lame duck Congressman Joseph Cao Princella Smith is a “media hound and shameless attention getter.” Politico provides examples of the bizzare communications strategy of a Congressional staffer promoting herself over her boss:

Her poses for the camera certainly seem to confirm this. What are the odds that she pitched this profile to Politico?

While enough has probably been said about jet-setting Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s nationally mocked response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address, former Vermont Governor Howard Dean caused us to bring up Bobby’s speech one more time in his appearance on Meet the Press this morning. More after the jump.

WWL TV reports that State Representative Cedric Richmond announced today that he will run for Louisiana’s Second Congressional District next November.
According to Richmond, Congressman Cao’s “vote against President Obama’s Economic Recovery Act and his refusal to take the President’s phone call during debate over the bill” are ”further examples of Cao’s ineffectiveness and lack of respect for his constituents”
