It may have been a slip of the tongue, but it’s deliciously ironic all the same. In his column today, Robert Morgan of the Alexandria Town Talk (a media outlet not unsympathetic to John Kennedy) had this to say:
For his part, Kennedy’s Internet blog accusing Landrieu of being a liberal “… solidly at odds with the majority in Louisiana” serves little purpose other than to identify her with her party in contrast with more conservative views.
The ‘Kennedy Internet blog’ he is referring to is none other than Kennedy shill Jeff Sadow’s ‘Between the Lines’. Not exactly an official Kennedy campaign blog, but he may as well be.
Congratulations to Robert Morgan and the Town Talk for bringing this important story to light.
Continuing in his role as a high profile surrogate for presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, Bobby Jindal appeared on ABC’s ‘This Week’.
From the Alexandria Town Talk: State Treasurer John Kennedy’s address to a Republican meeting in Baton Rouge gets confusing as supporters don stickers promoting Kennedy as a Democrat.
If it wasn’t clear after he lent his campaign $500k, local Democratic businessman Jim Harlan is committed to unseating newly elected Republican Rep. Steve Scalise. He’s already up with his second TV ad and a brand new website.
As Daily Kingfish points out, Harlan also doesn’t have vendors clamoring at his door to repay past campaign debt. I’d be interested to know who those vendors are? How much longer can Scalise leave those debts unpaid?
Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden has hired one of the most ruthless defense attorneys in the business, Mary Olive Pierson, to refute scurrilous accusations contained in an election year smear letter sent to thousands of Baton Rouge residents.
Pierson provided this choice quote:
The people behind this, they don’t mind blabbering about it. And I’ve got investigators working on the file. These people are about as dumb as a box of rocks.
